Matt Gilmartin talks Connected on Security Matters podcast
It's live! The conversation between Concept Smoke Screen's Matt Gilmartin and Security Matters magazine editor Brian Sims that we previewed here has dropped - that's the official lingo - and it's introduced in textual form by Brian here.
In Matt's interview, which kicks off around the 27:12 mark, he discusses Concept's history, the dawn of the Connected initiative, the thinking behind our social and environmental aims, and the work we're starting to do with the Criminology Department at the University of Lincoln.
"We don't just want to sell sticking plasters to loss prevention problems," Matt tells Brian. "We think the private security industry has got a responsibility not just to sell solutions to problems, but also to be engaged in reducing those problems being there in the first place."
We've conveniently embedded the podcast on this page, but you can also access it via Apple and Google podcasts, on Spotify and Podbean and YouTube, and oh, just about anywhere good podcasts are distributed. Just search for Security Matters podcast and look for episode 22.
I'm not going to lie: it will be the most exhilarating 11 and a half minutes you're ever likely to experience, so get your earholes comfortable, relaxed and ready, and invite the dulcet tones of Messrs Gilmartin and Sims into your auditory canals as soon as is humanly possible.
